NEW MEMBER ENROLLMENT PACKAGE
For new members, complete the following:
STEP 1.
Complete one (1) Form 7010 Operational Specialty Course Examination Answer Sheet
The score is posted to page 1, Section IV of
the 7001 Enrollment Application. See Step 2.
STEP 2.
Print and complete two (2)
ANCS 7001
Enrollment Application (current version dated 1-08).
Both copies
must have original signatures. All signatures must
be in BLUE ink.
Along with copies of the enrollment form,
include a copy of Proof of Citizenship for the prospect
(copy of Birth Certificate or Passport).
STEP 3.
Get fingerprinted on two (2) sets of Coast
Guard Fingerprint Cards (provided to you at time of fingerprinting). If the fingerprints are taken by someone other than an authorized Auxiliarist, please have the technician note their Name, Title, Department name and location on the fingerprint card.
STEP 4.
Complete and review the new member
package.
STEP 5.
Mail enrollment package to DSO-PS for
review.

Package is then sent to
Cleveland for further review and forwarding to
SECCEN.
The Direct Operation package is a stand alone
process.
SECURITY PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
FOR DIRECT OPERATIONS (DO) PERSONNEL
NOTE: DO packages are required for the
following: District Captains and above elected
officers, members involved in the Aux Air Program, and
upon Coast Guard Command recommendation on a case by
case basis.
STEP 1.
Email or submit in writing the request for
DO status with a brief explanation as to why the request
is being made to CWO
Mark Stevens (OTO).
STEP 2.
Mr. Stevens will validate the need for the
request. Upon his determination, he will respond to
those involved with the necessary actions required to
further this request or he will explain why the request
was denied.

FINGERPRINT TECHNICIAN PROCESS
If you are interested in becoming a
fingerprint technician please follow the steps below.
STEP 1.
Read and follow the instructions on the
Chief Directors website for
Fingerprint Training.
STEP 2.
Send a copy of the course completion
score, the date of the test, and the three (3) test
fingerprint cards in one (1) package to:

AUXILIARY ID CARD APPLICATION PROCEDURES
RESPONSIBILITY:
The
Flotilla Commander will ensure that all ID card
applications/photos comply with the procedures set forth
within this memorandum.
The Flotilla
Commander will review and forward all applications/photos to
the District ID card team for review. The District ID card
team will review the applications/photos for compliance and
forward them to the Director’s office for production. Upon
completion the card will be mailed directly to the member.
The Flotilla Commander may appoint a representative within the Flotilla
to carry out application process.
PROCEDURES: Members will fill out the application form completely. The form should be neat and the information must be readable. Applicants must print the information on the form. Please use the provided link to
the ID Card application form. This is the only form authorized for use.
The applicants must have passed the initial background check and have been approved by the Director for enrollment before the application can be processed. These are members who are IQ or BQ status.
STEP 1.
Photos for the ID card must follow the following instructions:
- Photos taken with a digital camera must be in JPEG format.
- Photo will be taken with red background (provided). Please keep clean and wrinkle free.
- Members must be in uniform, preferably Tropical Long, and uncovered. Photo will be of head and shoulders with member facing
forward.
- Members will comply with dress code (ref. Chapter 10, Section C of Auxiliary Manual COMDTINST M1670.1F). Uniform must be neat
and clean. Hair combed and off the collar. T-shirts should not show in photo. Men should not wear earrings. Women may
wear one pair, in accordance with the Manual.
- Each photo must be identified by the Last Name of the member.
- An ID Card application with corresponding name must accompany each photo.
STEP 2.
Photos and applications will be sent to Christine Tamani or Ed Moffat submitted by email (as separate
attachments) or CD/hard copies.

- If you are unable to scan and need to send CD & with corresponding hard copies of the Application form, please remit information to Christine Tamani.
- Photos and application forms should be sent as separate attachments to the email.
If ID card is lost or damaged it must be reported to the Flotilla Commander. Only one ID card will be issued to a member at a
time.
