NEW MEMBER ENROLLMENT PACKAGE
For new members, complete the following:
STEP 1.
Complete one (1) Form 7010 Operational Specialty Course Examination Answer Sheet
The score is posted to page 1, Section IV of
the 7001 Enrollment Application. See Step 2.
STEP 2.
Print and complete two (2)
ANCS 7001
Enrollment Application (current version dated 1-08).
Both copies
must have original signatures. All signatures must
be in BLUE ink.
Along with copies of the enrollment form,
include a copy of Proof of Citizenship for the prospect
(copy of Birth Certificate or Passport).
STEP 3.
Get fingerprinted on two (2) sets of Coast
Guard Fingerprint Cards (provided to you at time of fingerprinting). If the fingerprints are taken by someone other than an authorized Auxiliarist, please have the technician note their Name, Title, Department name and location on the fingerprint card.
STEP 4.
Complete and review the new member
package. The information used to verify
citizenship needs to be maintained by the member and NO
copy is sent in (per the Directors Office)
STEP 5.
Contact current DSO-PS (noted at top of this page) and send package to DSO-PS for review.
Package is then sent to Cleveland for further review and forwarding to SECCEN.
This package will be processed and provide the new members with
an Operational Status (OS) only. Once they are cleared for OS, they can
then send in the paperwork required for their Direct
Operations clearance directly to the appropriate OTO.
the Direct Operation package is a stand alone
process.
SECURITY PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS
FOR DIRECT OPERATIONS (DO) PERSONNEL
NOTE: DO packages are to be sent by the member directly to the OTO. No other Auxiliary member should see these packages since they include sensitive information.
Direct Operations members (Members involved with any/all Air Operations, Fingerprint Technicians, RCO and above elected officers), will complete the following:
STEP 1.
Download and complete the 13-page SF-86 Form
(PDF) along with the instructions.
Complete one (1) original with an original signature and one (1) copy with an original signature.
STEP 2.
Print and complete one (1) DHS 11000-9 Form (Disclosure and Authorization Pertaining to Consumer Reports Pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act).
STEP 3.
Get fingerprinted on two (2) sets of Fingerprint Cards (provided to you at time of fingerprinting). If the fingerprints are taken by someone other than an authorized Auxiliarist, please have the technician note their Name, Title, Department name and location on the fingerprint card.
STEP 4.
Print & Complete one (1) USCG Auxiliary/SECCEN Verification of U. S. Citizenship Form

Send all of the above in one (1) package to:

FINGERPRINT TECHNICIAN PROCESS
If you are interested in becoming a
fingerprint technician please follow the steps below.
Fingerprint Technicians (FPT) must submit or
have already submitted a direct Operational package to their
respective OTO to retain their FPT Qualifications.
STEP 1.
Read and follow the instructions on the
Chief Directors website for
Fingerprint Training.
STEP 2.
Send a copy of the course completion
score, the date of the test, and
the three (3) test fingerprint cards in one (1) package to
